Memberships

Seattle Vocational Institute – provides basic skills, vocational and workforce training opportunities through short-term, self-contained programs that lead to jobs with a future. Programs include medical, dental, construction, various computer based offerings and more. The college collaborates with business, labor, government and community groups and is directly affiliated with Seattle Central Community College. SVI is part of the Seattle Community College District VI which serves more than 54,000 students. Programs are available at each college to meet your vocational and educational needs.

OSAP/ADS: Association for Dental Safety – the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention, is dedicated to promoting infection control and safety policies and practices supported by science and research to the global dental community. This nonprofit association helps dental practitioners close the gap between policy and practice.

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences – part of the School of Public Health, this department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and medical residencies. Graduates find careers ranging from the practical, such as food safety and worker health, to basic research into how genetic and environmental factors affect susceptibility to disease. Our graduates share a common goal: to protect human health and safety.

Northwest Spay & Neuter – Promotes and provides low cost spay and neuter services for pet cats and dogs and feral cats in an effort to stop the killing of companion animals due to overpopulation. We are an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society – Our mission is to protect and promote the well-being of animals and to foster positive relationships between pets and people.

30/30 Project – Julie Lewis, a 30 ­year HIV survivor and mother to Ryan of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, founded the 30/30 Project to improve access to comprehensive healthcare in communities impacted by HIV/AIDS. The 30/30 Project has a goal to build 30 medical facilities worldwide and has partnered with Construction for Change, a Seattle-based nonprofit organization, which coordinates construction management of the medical facilities with local building partners. Upon completion, these buildings will be handed over to local nonprofit or government agency, who will staff each health center with qualified professional healthcare providers. The 30/30 Project’s mission is to bring access to quality, affordable healthcare to those who need it most.
